We are never as well served as by ourselves.
I inherited a catastrophic situation, which I restored.
Our company suffered a severe cyberattack, very destructive. One of the outside engineers who intervened to repair said to his boss: "It's dead. There is nothing to recover."
I told him there might be things to pick up. In disbelief, he told me I could look in the ashes if I had time to waste. And so I did, with determination.
When I started to find items, he called his boss and said: "Hallelujah, we have the data!"
After a few sleepless nights, I re-established the business, with my manager, not with this engineer.
Today, I am the head of security (CISO) and the engineers do their best to meet my requests, according to my precise requirements. They know I can do the job myself ;-)
